India commands 16% of global AI talent, workforce set to reach 1.25 mn by 2027
India is emerging as a global AI talent powerhouse. The India Skills Report 2026 says the country accounts for 16% of global AI talent and its AI workforce is projected to reach 1.25 million by 2027 amid growing demand for AI, cybersecurity and cloud computing skills.
