LUANDA, Angola: Angolan logistics and maritime services company Cabship is expanding its footprint in the country’s oil and gas sector through artificial intelligence driven logistics solutions, workforce development programmes and integrated support services.
The company, which has joined Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) 2026 as an Elite Sponsor, is positioning itself to support the next phase of growth in Angola’s upstream and offshore energy industry.
Over the years, Cabship has evolved into a key logistics partner for oil and gas operators, offering services across shipping, customs clearance, procurement, warehousing, material management, freight forwarding, transportation and offshore support. As exploration and production activities gather pace, the company is broadening its capabilities to meet the increasingly complex requirements of energy projects.
A key pillar of Cabship’s strategy is the adoption of artificial intelligence and digital technologies. The company has integrated AI-based tools into its logistics and supply chain operations to improve cargo tracking, optimise operational planning and enhance project execution. These technologies are expected to help clients reduce costs, improve visibility across supply chains and strengthen operational efficiency.
The growing use of AI in logistics comes as energy companies worldwide seek to modernise supply chain management and improve reliability amid rising project complexity. By embedding digital solutions into its operations, Cabship aims to strengthen its competitive position while supporting Angola’s broader push towards technological transformation in the energy sector.
Beyond technology, the company is investing in local talent development. Cabship recently signed a partnership agreement with Angola’s National Petroleum Institute (INP) to support training programmes for young Angolan professionals. The initiative currently benefits 15 participants from Cabinda, Zaire, Bengo and Luanda, who are receiving specialised training in industrial electricity for renewable energy systems and international welding.
The company has also expanded its offshore and marine support capabilities through strategic partnerships, enabling it to deliver integrated services for both shallow water and deepwater projects.
Cabship’s participation in AOG 2026 underscores the growing importance of logistics, digital innovation and workforce development in supporting Angola’s energy ambitions as the country seeks to attract investment and boost oil and gas production.
