IndusInd Bank has launched a dedicated banking vertical combining corporate, employee and cross-border banking solutions for India’s growing GCC ecosystem.

IndusInd Bank on September 28 informed bourses that it has launched a dedicated GCC Banking vertical to cater to the growing and increasingly sophisticated banking requirements of India’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem.

The new proposition brings together corporate and employee banking capabilities under a single relationship model, supported by digital first platforms, responsive service and India focused advisory expertise. The offering is designed to provide GCCs with a more integrated banking experience through a single banking partner.

India’s GCC ecosystem has grown 32% since FY2021 and now comprises 2,117 GCCs, highlighting the country’s growing importance as a global capability hub and the increasingly complex banking requirements of the sector.

IndusInd Bank’s GCC Banking vertical brings together five core capabilities under a single relationship: digital banking, employee banking, commercial card solutions, capital account and FEMA solutions, and foreign currency accounts through the Bank’s International Banking Unit (IBU) at GIFT City.

The integrated proposition is aimed at helping GCCs manage their business, workforce and cross border banking requirements more seamlessly.

“India’s GCC ecosystem has evolved beyond traditional shared services operations, with centres increasingly taking on technology, engineering, analytics, finance, research and other strategic functions for global organisations,” said Niraj Shah, Country Head – Corporate Banking, IndusInd Bank.

“As the sector continues to grow in scale and strategic importance, its banking requirements are also becoming more nuanced. IndusInd Bank aims to support these evolving needs through a more integrated banking approach that brings together relevant capabilities and specialist guidance tailored to India specific requirements,” he added.

The GCC Banking proposition is built around three principles:

Unified: A single relationship covering corporate and employee banking requirements across all five core capabilities.

Digital First: Digital banking platforms and solutions designed to integrate with the operational needs of GCCs and their employees.

Responsive: Senior level access and India focused specialist advice to support GCCs as their banking and operational requirements evolve.

The International Banking Unit (IBU) at GIFT City further strengthens the proposition by enabling GCCs to access foreign currency account solutions alongside the Bank’s broader suite of banking capabilities.
