SEMICON India 2026, one of the country’s biggest semiconductor industry events, will be held from September 17 to September 19, 2026, at Yashobhoomi (India International Convention and Expo Centre), Dwarka, New Delhi. The three-day conference and exhibition is being organised by the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in partnership with SEMI and industry associations.
The fifth edition of SEMICON India carries the theme “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem”. The event is designed to strengthen India’s position in the global semiconductor value chain and bring together chip manufacturers, equipment companies, technology firms, investors, policymakers, academia and startups.
The event will feature an exhibition spread across around 18,000 square metres, along with a dedicated 360-square-metre workforce development area. More than 300 Indian companies and over 100 international companies are expected to participate. The event will also have six country pavilions representing Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Singapore, Malaysia and Sweden, while more than nine Indian states are expected to be represented.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate SEMICON India 2026 on September 17. The opening session will include addresses from senior global semiconductor executives, including leaders from ASML, Applied Materials, Lam Research, Tokyo Electron, AMD, Merck and Infineon.
The three-day programme covers a wide range of topics important to India’s semiconductor ambitions. Day one focuses on semiconductor fabs, advanced packaging, infrastructure, smart manufacturing, research and development, and artificial intelligence. Day two will examine workforce development, sustainability, investments, state-level semiconductor policies, compound semiconductors, displays and semiconductor product creation.
The final day will focus on semiconductor design, EDA, startups, venture capital, international technical cooperation, policy and regulatory issues, semiconductor consumption and ecosystem development.
With participation from global semiconductor companies and Indian industry leaders, SEMICON India 2026 is expected to provide a major platform for discussing investments, technology partnerships, manufacturing capabilities, talent development and the next phase of India’s semiconductor ecosystem.
